Frequently Asked Questions
Can a customer purchase gift card on the website?
No, sorry. We are working on this functionality and hope to have it available soon.
I received a gift card from one of your stores. Can I spend it online?
No, sorry. We are working on this and hope to have gift cards available as a payment option soon.
Returns / Exchanges
Can a customer exchange or return website purchases at the store?
Yes. We will be happy to refund your purchase to the original tender with 7 days. You can exchange your purchase or get a store credit within 30 days. No cash refunds will be processed on website orders.
Please understand that items must be unused, in the original un-opened package, and be accompanied by a receipt or packing slip. If the item was a gift and you do not have the original receipt, only a packing slip, you may still return the item for exchange or store credit.
Sales & Promotions
Does the website offer the same sales and promotions as the stores?
The website will usually offer all the same sales and promotions as the stores. There will be some exceptions, but we do our best to keep our website and stores the same whenever possible.
Is the pricing on the website the same as in the stores?
Will you price match other websites or other retail stores?
We make our pricing as competitive as we can so we generally will not price match other websites or retail stores. Large retailers often have access to special pricing that we do not, making it impossible for us to match their pricing. If you see a lower price at a local, independent toy store, we will generally match their pricing but this applies to in-store purchases only.
Do customers pay Canadian or US duties to orders shipped to U.S. destinations?
NO. Typically, most orders are duty exempt. There are some exceptions but these are handled by building these costs into the order. Customers or recipients of orders are not required to pay additional duties at time of receipt. The only charges to the customer are those that are shown on the online order. No other charges are required to be paid by customers. If they are asked for any additional payments they should contact customer service immediately.
Do U.S. customers pay duties on orders with Canadian shipping destinations?
NO. There are no additional duties applicable to these types of orders. Any duties applicable are already paid on imported goods and are included in the retail price. However the customer will be required to pay GST and PST based on the ship to address (see taxes).
Do customers pay sales taxes on website orders?
It varies. The payment of taxes is based on the 'Ship to' address of the order. HST is applied to all orders shipped to Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick & Newfoundland and Labrador addresses regardless of the billing address. GST & PST is applied to orders shipped to addresses in British Columbia.
Does the website offer all the products available in your stores?
We try to offer our most popular items and are constantly adding new items to the website. However, we carry so many products in our stores that it is simply not possible to have them all listed.
Can I purchase an item through the website that isn’t listed, but that I saw in one of your stores?
We will try to accommodate you on a special request basis – just contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll do our best to help you.
