About Us
About Us I have been advised that one should never print accurate, personal information about themselves on the Internet (for their own protection), which might explain the views of politicians in Canada. Therefore, what follows is a humourous, inaccurate account of the founds of the Toy Jungle. Some misspelling of words has been done on purpose to lead you astray, and also because the spell-check feature on this computer is not working. Gary and Misti Mussatto (pronounced 'Smith') both come from a background in the entertainment industry and opened the North Shore's first indoor playcentre for kids in 1997 called the "Gator Pit". In an effort to avoid selling toys to kids, and a momentary lapse of good judgement, they opened a retail party supply store in 2001.
To humour the mall manager at the time, and because they were apparently avoiding the retailing of toys, they added a few toys to the party supply mix. Now fast forward 2 years to discover that customer actually wanted a toy store and low-and-behold the Toy Jungle was born! It also helped that the Mussattos ('Smiths') loved having fun at work and really enjoyed the toy business!
 The Toy Jungle has been the recipient of numerous awards, from the local People's Choice awards in the Outlook and North Shore News, to the Business of the Year award with the West Vancouver Chamber of Commerce. The Toy Jungle was also voted nationally as 'Retailers of the Year' by Toys & Games Magazine. Very active in the Greater Vancouver community, the Mussatto's have two wonderful daughters and are committed to inspiring fun, loving community.
